Brand Manager
Take the brand from Europe to the US – and define it along the way.
Son of John has a clear identity. Your job is to protect it, build it, and push it – across every touchpoint, every market, every decision.
We're currently selling across all of Europe and actively preparing for our expansion into the United States. This is not a maintenance role. We need someone who can hold the brand vision with one hand and build new markets with the other.
What you'll do
- Own the Son of John brand identity across all channels – online, offline, and in-market
- Develop and implement brand strategy in collaboration with the founders, with a clear focus on European consolidation and US market entry
- Lead the groundwork for our American expansion – market research, positioning, localisation, and launch strategy
- Brief and oversee creative output from content, design, and external partners
- Identify and manage brand partnerships, collaborations, and PR opportunities across European and US markets
- Track brand health metrics and translate them into clear strategic recommendations
- Ensure consistency from Instagram post to packaging to customer email – across all markets
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a strategic creative role – ideally in fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods
- You've built or managed a brand before, not just executed someone else's playbook
- Experience with or strong understanding of multi-market brand strategy – knowing what travels and what needs localising
- Strong written communication – you can write a brief, a pitch, and a strategy document, all in the brand voice
- Commercially sharp: you understand that brand decisions have revenue consequences
- Opinionated but coachable – you push back when something is off, and you're right more than you're wrong
- Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam – this is an on-site role
